2.2 Control Assignment Hangs

In 2.2, when I try to assign any controls to AV-8, it hangs. I tried both loading from DCS 1.5, and also tried re-assigning manually. I am not able to make any assignments to my Joystick, so I simply can't play...

 

I also have a crash when I select some of the mission types in ME, like CAP or Intercept. I do not expect AV-8 to be great with such mission types, but at least it shouldn't crash?

Try changing them in game. It worked for me. Although change only a few at at time then exit the menu, and then do it agaon

Jut got this last night and I was able to assign keys although I did it from the in flight "adjust controls" menu option when you pause the game. :pilotfly:

You can try deleting the AV8BNA inputs from the saved games folder. There is some kind of corruption causing issues for you.

I'm having the same issue, when assigning keys for the Harrier. My sim goes to a black screen and hangs. I will try what you guys have suggested and report back. Thanks for the input. I wonder how many other people are experiencing issues?

I have the same issue in both 1.5 and 2.2, setting the commands in game worked perfectly.

I ran into the same black screen bug configuring controls in 2.2 for the AV-8B. Deleting options, input, etc. didn't seem to help.

 

In game assignment of controls works fine. Thanks for the workaround.
