Britchot Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I searched, albeit from my mobile and could have missed something, and couldn’t find anyone mentioning this issue. When selecting board numbers, only the 10s position changes and the 1s is always “0”. So, if I set 24, I get 20 or 15 will be 10. This is either through the mission manager or the rearming menu. Beautiful model, by the way! Britchot Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 Wow, that wasn’t expected. Thanks for the tip! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPU - Intel 8088 @ 4.77 MHz; Memory - 128KB; 360KB double-sided 5 1/4" full-height floppy disk drive; 10MB Seagate ST-412 hard drive JG-1 MiG-21bis Checklist
Home Fries Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 When you enter 3 numbers, what you're actually entering are the last 3 digits of the aircraft's Bureau Number (BuNo), or the USN/USMC serial number. For tactical aircraft, the BuNo is unrelated to the side number. Therefore, the side number is the first 2 BuNo digits reversed so that there's no obvious correlation. So now you understand the logic as to why you have to type in your side number backwards. :D -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
Britchot Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 Gotcha, thanks for the clarification, I had made the assumption it was like the MiGs.
