peterj Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 What's the accurate numbers for elevation and traverse? and/or how much movement does that correspond to in the hud? And can i get a quote on how Shkval can control the cannon (ie elevation, traverse changes and autopilot). Thanks
Prophet Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I am not sure what the exact angles are, but it does slave to the Shkval. As you can see from this screen, the box is the traversing limits of the cannon.
RvETito Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 According to internet sources(http://cybernet.boom.ru/avia/ppnk.html - russian site) the 2A42 cannon can deflect from -2°30'(left) to +9°(right) in azimuth and +3°30'(up) to -37°(down) in elevation. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
peterj Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 Are there any significant differences between the Shkval in the Ka-50 and the Su-25T, for example viewing angles?
