SideArms Having no effect on Targets - is it jut me?

Fired two sidearms at an SA-8 and SA-6, with direct hits sidearms exploded in a fireball but. no damage at all. I then shot a maverick at each and they exploded on impact and destroyed the targets

 

is this for everyone or just me?

The sidearms have a smaller warhead and arent that accurate. They no longer oneshot armored vehicles but can damage them enough so that they no longer track enemies.

 

If you use a view where you see the life bar on the F10 map, you will see the sidearms DO damages. We cannot compare them to the 25MPU or 58 antiradiation missiles the Su25 have. They are a lot smaller and base on the AIM9. More a close self defense missile than a real SEAD missile.

 

But still fun to use : I often disable SA15/SA8 with the sidearms and finish them with gun or another weapon.
