after starting fron 270ish to jump to 300, retarding throttle puts engine off. Any ideas?

Yesterdays update. Using TMWH split throttles.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

This can happen when the in-game throttle isn't correctly matched with your throttle at the beginning. I have had it too, where my throttle idle is calibrated with throttle off in-game. Probably because the my throttle was in the idle position when I fired up the module.

Bind button 29 to the engine idle/cut off

Happened to me as well when I first started flying Harrier, I think its button 29 I used (the button for lifting the right hand throttle lever into its stop past idle)

Isn't it the other way around? I thought you can easily move the throttle from OFF to IDLE but to get it back to OFF you need to use the idle cutoff to move it past the detent.

Still figuring this out. :)

My controls & seat

Main controls: , BRD-N v4 Flightstick (Kreml C5 controller), TM Warthog Throttle (Kreml F3 controller), BRD-F2 Restyling Bf-109 Pedals w. damper, TrackIR5, Gametrix KW-908 (integrated into RAV4 seat)

Stick grips:

Thrustmaster Warthog

Thrustmaster Cougar (x2)

Thrustmaster F-16 FLCS

BRD KG13

Standby controls:

BRD-M2 Mi-8 Pedals (Ruddermaster controller)

BRD-N v3 Flightstick w. exch. grip upgrade (Kreml C5 controller)

It’s not how it’s meant to work it’s a quirk on the warthog stick

I can’t remember what the command is for it now but it is the one right win+t is normally bound too, whichever throttle lever you have bound to throttle bound the stop button for that throttle to the same command and it fixes it

you mean its like A-10C? I think I have bound cutoff to a switch. How should throttle look like when idle cutoff is on? there is a little black latch to the side? should this appear or not before spooling of engine?

The warthog throttle just engages two virtual dx "buttons" (29 and 30, if memory serves) when retarded to OFF (sensor reading is less than specified values) I am keen to know how the actual throttle cutoff switch works in the Harrier so we can try to assign the throttle correctly.

This happened to me after a really enjoyable flight where all the systems worked as advertised, hit my targets, played about with the Tacan, got it working, got to the runway in sight, retarded the Throttle....the sound of it winding down and the I had to eject on short finals... very embarrassing lol,

Also pleased to find the CDU/MFD keys are already setup for the hardware

(GR)Gambit, thanks for the info, I found the cut off switch in the Adjust Controls panel, then moved the hotas over the gate and back a few times, button 29 came up.

Fired up the harrier, brought the throttle over the gate and forward to start, great.

Taxied forward and retarded the throttle to the gate, engine running fine. Thanks

Im sorry I just cant figure this out. I can start up the Harrier no problem. I move the throttle forward pass the idle indent (so to speak) press the Idle cut off switch on the throttle and when I try to put throttle back to idle to slow for taxi the engine shuts down. I'm sorry I know I'm overlooking something simple but I cant seem to understand it, it's driving me insane.

The answer is quite simple; pressing the idle cut off switch shuts down the engine when the throttle is at idle. Don't touch the switch unless you plan on shutting down the engine.

Many thanks it was doing my head in.
