D4n Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Sooo... I was on afterburner for quite some time and flying reeeeally low... what caused the engine to go off? Never experienced this with any other DCS aircraft... FSKRipper Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) A track please? They are created for every flight. You only need to save them. Without visual evidence this turns into an endless question/answer game until somebody gets it right. Btw: I would guess overspeed with no further information but I'm not 100% sure this is modeled in the M2000. lemoen Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 The Mirage 2000 currently doesn't have compressor stalls unless you fly really high and the current flight model has a strange oscillation at high speed that rapidly results in your destruction :-)
jojo Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 The Mirage 2000 currently doesn't have compressor stalls unless you fly really high and the current flight model has a strange oscillation at high speed that rapidly results in your destruction :-) You can stall your engine with tail slide too. For the over speed oscillation I think it's a very specific "sweet spot". I tried, and at best I had an oscillation which quickly stopped. And anyway it happens beyond allowed speed. VNE is 750kt CAS, and IRL the plane has been pushed to 800kt without problem. Requesting no problem above 800kt CAS is a little bit too much I think... Mirage fanatic ! D4n Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 I guess it was the mission designer who enabled engine failure... -.- Is there then any way to restart engine in flight? I clicked "in flight engine start" switch (yellow bar switch) and put thust to idle but nothing happened... Engine totally broken? :P Will there be an audio alarm in M2000 when engine reaches critical temperature? It's one of these two, when I do gun run over the FARP south of beslan: https://app.box.com/s/n34z6yprhb915ft3135iwvqozf92dz5l DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013 DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. ORCA66 Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 might be a bird strike since you were flying low

Dagger71 Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 Also make sure you follow engine restart procedure properely: Engine shutdown to off fuel starter pump switch to on engine relight switch to on slowly push throttle forward until 50% N1
