Integrate with Google Earth

Perhaps this was raised before. Integration with Google Earth. Ability to write out ME coordinates as place in GE or similar. Even better if right click on ME location has option to scope in GE. GE is really good at seeing terrain from arbitrary angle.

Example of Enguri Dam mission. Ability to see the area in freeform 3D in Google Earth is very usefull for mission creation.

That wouldn't work I'm afraid, because of:

a) some airports in DCS not existing anymore in real life, or being heavily changed;

b) some airports in real life not existing in DCS;

c) same as above with rather generic representation of towns and cities;

d) most importantly - flat earth projection method of maps in DCS, with corresponding inaccuracies of coordinates and bearings in DCS compared to real life.

We're far more likely to see a 3D rendered views of the maps than Google Earth as part of DCS World.

 

But hell yes, something to assist in troop placement would be a huge asset.
