frumpy Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Hi there, with the most recent updates my computer is forced to log on to the ED servers every time I am starting the sim. I want to use the sim offline and pull the LAN-cable (I am willing not to update the sim any more). I've got a 1.5.2 copy, but it does not support the MiG-15 and Mirage where I bought a license. I am looking for a pre-online-copy like 1.5.7 (you can delete the aircraft in it) to share. If anyone is interested in 1.5.2 just contact me. Thanks.
mwd2 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 You could reverting DCS World to the latest build of a Specific Version: like: DCS_Updater.exe update 1.5.0 or to a special sub version like DCS_Updater.exe update 1.5.0.45166 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Playing: DCS World Intel i7-13700KF, 64GB DDR5 @5600MHz, RTX 4080 ZOTAC Trinity, WIN 11 64Bit Prof. Squadron "Serious Uglies" / Discord-Server: https://discord.gg/2WccwBh Ghost0815
frumpy Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 No, I tried and wrote to support - this is not supported anymore.
imacken Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Hi there, with the most recent updates my computer is forced to log on to the ED servers every time I am starting the sim. As an aside, you are not forced to login. Go to Options and Misc (I think) and uncheck the Auto Login item. Then, when you start DCS, just select 'cancel' (twice) when asked to login. You are then playing offline. frumpy Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 In this case the licenses are valid for 3 days - then require again a log in.
imacken Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I thought that was just for newer modules etc. Didn't think the new protection system had been implemented for older Starforce stuff. QuiGon Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 You could reverting DCS World to the latest build of a Specific Version: like: DCS_Updater.exe update 1.5.0 or to a special sub version like DCS_Updater.exe update 1.5.0.45166 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 That's the command for the old updater. New command is: UPDATER VERSION 2.6.8.41 And Newer Use: DCS_updater.exe update <version><@branch> (ie DCS_Updater.exe update 1.2.16@release) Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
frumpy Posted January 26, 2018 Author Posted January 26, 2018 I just tried again an hour ago "DCS_Updater.exe update 1.5.7" and it worked, no more automatic login and all modules work. I'll save this version for later and hope for the best.
