blueskunk Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 hi how can i disable the monitor display when flying with the vr headset? i'm thinking rendering 3 images rather than 2 is unecessarily costing framerate. thanks http://the68thaggressorssquadron.blogspot.com/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dinga Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 (edited) Not to my knowledge, although I am thinking I will turm my Dell moniter off while VR is running, it gets pretty warm and I have to wait for it to cool down before I can cover it to keep the dust off when I shut down the computer.Could save some power to. blueskunk Posted February 6, 2018 Author Posted February 6, 2018 hm. but if you just turn off the monitor, it doesn't mean the pc is not rendering the image any more, no? http://the68thaggressorssquadron.blogspot.com/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
DayGlow Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 I don't think it's rendering another image. I believe the desktop is just mirroring the left eye. "It takes a big man to admit he is wrong...I'm not a big man" Chevy Chase, Fletch Lives 5800X3D - 64gb ram - RTX3080 - Windows 11
SkateZilla Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 it's just a mirror image and has no impact on Performance.
