toutenglisse Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 (edited) Hi, does DCS use this VR feature ? Performances in DCS, related with quality ! , are very good imo and going to increase with Vulkan API. But I recently tested this rendering mode in a new version (v4.2) of another sim and it's a game changer, giving improvements in I think about the same way that Vulkan will be (less needs in cpu ressources and better smoothness with equal fps). Maybe DCS already uses it, if not is it considered ? https://developer.nvidia.com/vrworks/graphics/singlepassstereo https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/SinglePassStereoRendering.html (EDIT : with this mode, the VR's fps are dramatically closing the fps you have with screen) Edited February 15, 2018 by toutenglisse
DayGlow Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 ED has stated in the past that they aren't supporting closed vender specific features like Gameworks "It takes a big man to admit he is wrong...I'm not a big man" Chevy Chase, Fletch Lives 5800X3D - 64gb ram - RTX3080 - Windows 11
toutenglisse Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 Oops !.... I was just reading a 2016 thread "new VR features" and it was explaining (SkateZilla to be specific) very well why no Nvidia VRWorks features will be used in DCS' Edge engine. I should learn to use the search fonction before posting....
BeastyBaiter Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Using Nvidia's Gimpworks is never a good idea, and I have an Nvidia card... System specs: i5-10600k (4.9 GHz), RX 6950XT, 32GB DDR4 3200, NVMe SSD, Reverb G2, WinWing Super Libra/Taurus, CH Pro Pedals.
