nicholasyt Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 So, My VR head position is "stuck" as if it were reading off a TrackIR sensor.... When I keep my head still and look left and right it is fine, but when i move my head forwards/backwards the ENTIRE view moves (such that the world around me remains the same distance from my head) Strangely, I can zoom with my middle mouse button now in VR, which shouldnt be the case This only started happening after I was toggling the cockpit views in non-VR mode (was fooling around in the cockpit, used Middle Mouse button double click to reposition my views), but retoggling this did not help Tried deleting the savedgames DCS folder and it did not help. I also tried deleting the "view.lua" file and it did not help. In my frustration I just uninstalled the entire DCS game and am redownloading it right now Fingers Crossed...
toutenglisse Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Was it specific to DCS, or was it also the case with other VR apps (like oculus home if you use oculus rift) ? If so a cleanup of all sensors (external + little one inside the head mask) helped me with some issue in the past - BTW if problem exists outside of DCS you should open a support ticket with the brand of your VR set. I remember a "stuck view" issue happened to me but it was nothing a good cleaning couldn't solve. Before deleting / downloading you maybe should have done the "cleanup & repair" procedure for your DCS' install.
uri_ba Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 It happens because TIR inputs are taken even if VR is in play, and TIR has higher priority. Today it took me too long to figure out that the reason my view is the head, tilded 90 degrees on the seat because the window behind me was open and drove the TIR insane. I've paused it and view jumped up to VR position. I've requested that while in VR mode, TIR will be disabled. But so far, no cigar.
