Hi, new, to the forum and the game...I've been learning on one display but am getting a vr set, but my question is if someone can point me to a way to get setups for specific joysticks to DCS? I'm getting a thrustmaster 16000? tomorrow and was looking for optimized ways/profiles to set it up quickly. Just the stick, noy the throttle, I'll add that down the line.

Welcome to the forums feli99,

This will take some time you to workout what's best and suits you.

Play around with the control editor, HERE is a good control guide on steam, you will want to play around with the (Axis Tuning)

Here is a POST I made long time ago for the A-10C for the thrustmaster 16000, you possibly wont completely understand the post until you start learning the A-10C, what aircraft are you starting on anyway? FC3?

That's gonna be a tough task. VR and no throttle ?

Learn the aircraft in 2D at first. When you know what you really need to fly and operate the machine, go VR.

learning a new aircraft in VR alone..I dunno..without the knobs and switches from a throttle that will be hard as you will need to access the keyboard a lot.

Well, get started and you will see. It needs time.

Greetings feli99,

Your best bet is to just fire up the sim, load a mission with the aircraft you want to fly and go into "Adjust Controls". Set up the buttons and axes on your stick/throttle the way you like.

Don't bother doing it in VR unless you're a glutton for punishment. Get everything set up nicely, and then use your VR headset.

It only takes 3 minutes, 5 mins. at most and really is the very best way to get everything set up the way you like.

Peace and happy warfare
