Darkwolf Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Hi There I'm wondering about the choice of plane to serve as a free test for eventual new customer. TF-51 is hard to taxi + complex engine management Su-25T is ok, but really sluggish and not appealing I'm suspecting these plane may not really be appealing to the "fighter wannabe" that may want to test DCS. This is a regular conversation that i'm seeing here and there so here's my suggestion: Could you please consider making a special free "Unarmed" L-39. The L-39 look cool and appealing Multicrew will allow our great community to help newcomers more directly More sensation than the sluggish -25 or -51. Advanced System Modeling - yet easy to learn Thank you for reading this, Greetings from Virtual Caucasus ! 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. Dugong Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 ED has to make a profit somehow, just saying... They are the other 20+ modules, maps, campaigns to do that! I suspect Darkwolf has a point, i've noticed it's very difficult to get friends involved with DCS due to the high potential cost, and DCS is really about hi-fidelity jets as it's core competency. The two free one don't showcase this; The Su-25 is a jet, but not hi fidelity/clickable. The Tf-51 is hi-fi, but not a jet. So not of interest to people not into WW2.
Mig Fulcrum Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 The Tf-51 is hi-fi, but not a jet. So not of interest to people not into WW2. I don't like WWII theater but fly around the TF-51 is absolutely enjoyable. Of course it would be nice have more free aircrafts but remember that DCS is already free and other simulator are not so be content and enjoy this beautiful game.
Shrike88 Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Don't forget that money going into those modules not only is given to ED, but some is given to the 3rd party developers. ED has also a significantly large team, i'm sure they have other things to pay. ;) But nevertheless, you are true when it comes to how many modules that they're selling. Eagle Dynamics have been trying to focus into other departments as well like customer care. They also put years into the research and development into making modules, and that costs more money than you may expect. Customer care ? Still waiting to hear back about tickets and questions submitted about cross platform M2000. Was told to just monitor forums
