tmansteve Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Ive been waiting for this module for quite a while and have to say that it looks amazing. There is one gripe I have with the external sound of the Rolls Royce engine when viewing a flyby. The whine is way too loud and long. Once the plane reaches you, the whine of the turbine should not be the dominant feature as it is only for a split second with the roar being dominant. I have had the luck of having low flying aircraft pass over my house as they practice and never heard that sound produced by a harrier, and they fly very low. Will this be fixed? Cheers
Nealius Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 This has been a pretty long-standing problem with DCS in general. I think the M2000C is the only jet with a proper roar currently.

Nealius Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 I believe so--sound mods for other aircraft do exist, but some aircraft share the same sound file. For example, the Viggen, KC130, and Su25A/T all share the same sound file, so if you use a sound mod for, say, the Viggen, all four aircraft will end up sounding the same. I don't know if the Harrier shares sound files with other aircraft.
