Fakum Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Here is a problem I am experiencing that I can repeat. Basically, any time I have a target locked up with the Mav Seeker, if I disrupt that lock (indicated by the small flashing “ +” slewed to the center, lower right, and (3) horizontal bars appearing below center of the seeker display) I am NOT able to get the seeker head to slave back to where the TV has marked the target? I can lock up the target by slewing the seeker head itself, but I cannot get it to reset where the TV is locked? I have tried disabling the Mavericks completely, Cycling weapons etc. It is only until I elect to reset the sensor to center that I can repeat the ability for the Maverick seeker head to slave to where the TV is pointing. That is NOT a good option, especially if you marked the target area and would have to do that again to get another mark. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks for any help. • Select TV (Sensor select - AFT) x2 • Slew it to the desired location (Target #1) (TDC Control) • Switch to mavericks (Sensor select - FWD: INS, IRMV/EOMV) x2 (IRMV) • Uncage mavericks (Cage/Uncage) • Lock (TDC Down (Action Position)) Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle

Fakum Posted March 9, 2018 Author Posted March 9, 2018 It did not make any difference. once the target is marked with the DMT and Maverick is uncaged, and then switch to IRMV, then locked,, once the Maverick Seeker is unlocked (for any number of reasons) I cannot get the Seeker to slave back to where the DMT is pointing? • Select TV (Sensor select - AFT) x2 • Slew it to the desired location (Target #1) (TDC Control) • Uncage mavericks (Cage/Uncage) • Switch to mavericks (Sensor select - FWD: INS, IRMV/EOMV) x2 (IRMV) • Uncage mavericks (Cage/Uncage) • Lock (TDC Down (Action Position)) • Lock breaks, cant slave seeker back to where DMT is pointing? scrapple Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I have the same issue. Once the lock breaks and I get the + in the lower right of the Maverick screen, I don't know a way to get it locked again. I've always thought I was just missing a step somewhere, but I don't what it is.
EAF602 Red Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Ive had the lock break on me, the only way I’ve found to reastiblish the lock is to slew the Mav seeker head to lock on again, fairly easy if it’s on autopilot, but if not it goes all over the place
Fakum Posted March 11, 2018 Author Posted March 11, 2018 Ok, so its not just me, so its a matter of, is it incorrect Procedure, by Design or a Bug? I can think of many reasons why this is a matter worth resolving, but I suspect many have not come across this issue? That being said, to simplify the discussion, once I lock a target with the Maverick seeker after it was slaved from the DMT, if I had to break off the approach for any reason at all, I would think I would be able to turn and make another pass and slave the Maverick seeker right back on the target in which the DMT is locked on,, why cant I? Fakum Posted March 12, 2018 Author Posted March 12, 2018 Ive got a feeling this is just going to fade away without resolve. I dont know if its a bug or not? I keep searching for something to lead me in the right direction, but I have not yet found anything conclusive. Fakum Posted April 6, 2018 Author Posted April 6, 2018 @ about 28:40, he has a similar issue and is able to reset the Maverick seeker head without resetting the target point of the TPOD: Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
