I don't know if it's just me but the Ground unit AI seems to be getting worse doesn't matter if its mission scripted, commanded by CA or what.. they seem to ignore that the 'world' around them exists except for other units.

 

Here is just a small list of 'issues' I've noticed with the ground units.

 

At times 1 or 2 units will get 'stuck' and refuse to move, this results in them either being left a mile behind or the entire group refusing to move at all.

 

Buildings etc mean nothing to them, at all be it for pathing, or even for when they decide to shoot, they will just do so even if a building is between them in the target.. Doesn't even seem to have an effect on their LOS Case in point stick a red unit on one side of a building a blue unit on the other and watch them blast away until out of ammo or the building falls down..

 

water.... Apparently everything and anything can go through it and heaven forbid you script a go to point and there be ocean in the way.. the units will ignore common sense pathing and drive through the ocean.. But even with that aside at the moment taking out bridges etc to try and stop units or bottleneck them is pointless they just drive through the water as if it's land.

 

I get that we can't have the Ground AI constantly doing Ray casting etc it'd bog things down massively but at the moment they basically seem to not give a damned about the terrain at all.. Which is just seems wrong.

Yes, there are issues with path finding and LOS, and many of these are reported already, but for a helpful bug report, we need individual issues, along with tracks and other information to hand over to ED. You can look in my sig for a link to making a bug report.
