Spetz Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Anyone try it with Win7 64 bit yet ? And a fast question here, why is it better to have lockon start with the 2nd core. Does it unlock both cores for use doing this ? I thought it ran on both before..
Boulund Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I wrote it specifically to make it work on my Windows 7 64bit, so yes it works there =) The reason behind setting affinity to the second core is that a lot of windows' processes are run on the first core, thus giving lock on more space to run on by running it on the other, less used core. Not entirely sure that this really makes a huge difference, but I see no reason that it could hurt. Core i5-760 @ 3.6Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Geforce GTX470, Samsung SATA HDD, Dell UH2311H 1920x1080, Saitek X52 Pro., FreeTrack homemade cap w/ LifeCam VX-1000, Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1.
