BigDuke6ixx Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Anyone else getting a green tint though the front left and right quarter sections of the canopy? HUD section and the bubble part are fine. In the winter terrain the snow turns greenish.
Buckeye Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Anyone else getting a green tint though the front left and right quarter sections of the canopy? HUD section and the bubble part are fine. In the winter terrain the snow turns greenish. It's based on how the real jet is, there is a yellow tint to the right and left sections...but some users report they see green instead of yellow. Might just be a bit of tweaking needed from ED to true the coloring up a bit, but the general concept is accurate to the real A-10. Ganesh Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I'm happy with my perfectly tinted yellow windshield. EasyEB Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I’m also happy with how it is now. I think people don’t understand how colors mix. Yellow (tint) + blue (sky) = green. DCS also has a bit of blue haze, contributing to the perception of green tint. Also, monitor callibration plays in. I have a color callibrated monitor and the way it is now is great.

Will check the Oculus calibration, white snow and yellow tint don't equal green so that's probably it.

The snow color in DCS is not neutral white (in DCS daylight). It’s ”cold white” aka with a bit of blue tint to it (google white balance for more on that). Also, green is the color the human eye sees most nuances in (fun fact: that’s why NVGs display green tones) so it will be one of the colors that are easiest to see in color mixes and tones. It should of course not be exaggerated, so a thorough monitor color callibration should fix it.
