Not so much DCS per se but more forums oriented request;

It would be nice to have a forum sub-section where pilots could look at what squadrons level is available out there. For example, you could have a "casual" section, a "new pilot in the making" section or even a "super hardcore" section. Each sections would display squadron descriptions. Another example would be squadron "the 101th newbs squad". Specializing into flying the FC planes, using the auto start cheat button, etc. Then you could have the "gods squad" which could specializing into real life aerobatics, fuel calculations, weight calculations, etc.

I don't know, maybe you all have better ideas but I just find it very frustrating to never know if I will be joining a server or a squad that just want to troll over the airstrip or want to do 6inch apart flying formation. There is so much to learn with DCS and there are so many great pilots out there, there must be a way to channel the know-how better.

I saw that Coxy_99 but the problem is, I have to read through 25 pages of "potential" squadron instead of just selecting the group that fit my needs and THEN, read what is available.

To be fair, the forum is a bit tatty down that way and Sqn's go in and out of business as the seasons and modules change, so I can understand the need for an updated list that is current, but it's never going to be well managed on these forums as the admins have no idea who is current or what.

I think this is likely better parked in the forum and site issues sub forum and the answer might remain just the same. Frankly you have to work to find out if a virtual squadron is right for you, the demand is completely different from more populated games and the squadrons should be more picky than other games as there are so many different tastes in this sim. It's hard enough getting people together with the same taste.

So you’re lazy

Not at all, I just like efficiency.

But yes Pikey, as see your point. I wasn't expecting such task/wish to be easy ;)
