David OC Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 (edited) Nothing fancy just print out a list of the controllers setup so you can see what every button and axis is set to.maybe an option to just printout the stuff assigned or everything in case your looking for a command that’s not assigned do it just for the active profile. Not sure what you are asking for here? Printout of (your Specific) controller of all the buttons assigned per aircraft? Button 1, button 2 etc. Either way you would be confused as to what is where unless you have a picture of the controller and ED cannot add ALL the controllers possible. I just print off and write by hand where the assignments are for my controller, use a pencil and rub out what you change it to until your happy with the setup, then print a final version. CH (What I'm using for now) also has software that can print the mappings that are set when using their manager software, as I said this is controller specific. No need for more work for ED, you can export the keyboard commands, (not joystick buttons) for each aircraft, I do this to get the commands needed for the CH manager software. Print off a picture of your controller with arrows pointing to buttons for EACH aircraft X55, X52 Now If you cannot remember what you have assigned already (Each Aircraft), go into DCS--> Aircraft?--> controls, now click on each button and DCS will highlight what that button is assigned to, write it down on your controller printout in the appropriate section. You should perhaps printout one and sit down and have a good think about YOUR setup, take a look at how others like to setup their controls and have a play with it on paper, before binding and unbinding, it gets more confusing if you keep changing your button locations, especially if you also use a modifier like I do, 2X mappable buttons, That's what the second field in the printout is for, one for primary click, one of secondary with modifier key held. That's also another reason ED cannot print all these controllers and combinations out, ED allows you to add your own joystick button or keyboard modifier key(s) in DCS, basically this allows you unlimited options. Button 2 on joystick = Release Right Ctrl + Button 2 = Left Ctrl + Button 2 = Right Shift + Button 2 = Left Shift + Button 2 = If you assign in DCS a joystick button as a modifier (Button 4 on the throttle example) Button 4 + Button 2 = Button 4 + Button 3 = . David OC Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Also, here is a great FC3 profile that I started with for CH controllers by SleepyCanuck. He also included word documents of all the command positions with pictures. This allowed me to change and reprint the doc to suit how I wanted to setup for FC3. This will only work for CH Manager, it can still give you some ideas for FC3 button placement and or modifier buttons for any joystick. . i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. I'm new to DCS and have bought the CH Products set. The Word file in the link seems to have been removed... Does anyone have a copy? Many thanks for your help. :)
