chembleton Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Hi, I primarily fly A2A but only recently started flying A2G but what doesn't seem very realistic to me is that when on a bombing run, I drop bombs, possibly missing some ground targets, circle back around only to find ground units and especially soldiers, not moving basically waiting to be killed. Some ground units seem to move a bit but never disperse enough. IRL they would take cover and disperse. Would it be possible to add this in somehow? Unless I'm playing on the wrong realism settings? Thanks

Thanks The behaviour of ground units under attack can be defined by the mission maker. There is actually a setting "disperse under fire". Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Emmy Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 By default, ground units will hold in place (or keep moving if already in motion) for 600 seconds before dispersing. As mentioned, this can be adjusted in the mission editor. chembleton Posted April 16, 2018 Author Posted April 16, 2018 Thanks for this! I've never dabbled with the mission editor to be honest so will give it a try.
