Multicrew multiplayer mission coming up

Ok I’m a huey guy but new to a helo unit wanting to do a mission in the gazelle with myself in the second seat so I may watch him fly but if we do I’d like to be familiar with the second seat duties. Iirc there’s no flight controls on the left seat.

 

What are the duties for the left seat Operater?

There is a full set of flight controls for the left seat, but they aren't working especially well last time I checked in a multiplayer environment.

 

Left seat is the WSO in the M model, responsible for operating the Vivienne and releasing ordnance, as well as running the radios. In the L and Mistral models, you only have control of the radios.

Quite often the left-seater acts as an aircraft commander, sometimes even as an element or fight lead. So he is the one responsible for tactical development. Normally he operates the radios and navigation system (not possible in the DCS gazelle). He also uses the sight system for reconnaissance and weapons operation.
