Colt40Five Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Small detail I know, but the wake on the Kutz is too short, and the bow wake is missing altogether. I have no idea how it's generated. Is it part of the model or what? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Yeah I always wondered about this. Unlike probably every other Flight Simmer in the world, I actually bought Lockon before I bought IL-2 and was real impressed with the way the ship wakes look in IL-2. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
Aeroscout Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 They all need to be bigger. DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
Colt40Five Posted March 19, 2007 Author Posted March 19, 2007 Check out the bazar/effects/shiptrail folder. Some .dat files and a bunch of .tgas. What do I use to look at the .dat files? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Black_Hawk Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Try with notepad but you probably won't get any reasonable text. But it's worth a try 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team

I'ma jet sim fan. (never liked the WWII stuff...) zaelu Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Ya, i dont even have IL-2. I'ma jet sim fan. (never liked the WWII stuff...) I think many guys that say this are more "inclined" for the "missile factor" rather than that high speed that jets brings. Diving with 800Kmph on a enemy in a shaking 109 is a real thrill actualy... missing it altogether... priceless :D Also the lower speeds in cunjunction with the "up close and personal" feeling is a real kick too. I personaly like both universes ecualy... gee... when is that Ka50 world coming? :) sorry for OT [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
VMFA-Blaze Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 As far as not having IL2 I think you're really missing something... I personally really love the zoom an boom factor of moder day jet combat, but the experience of IL2 should by no means be discounted.. The damage models of IL2 are the best of any flight simulator bar none.... And also the mission builder in IL2 is better in some respects ... I'm a Lock On fan boy to start with but I do fly most of the flight simulators out there today which includes Falcon 4 AF... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
crazyeddie Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Love them both to death, best sims around. Lomac for the versatility, the quality and the speed thing, IL2 for the mission builder, they are the best around bar none. Disappointed by Falcon 4, thought the previous version was actually better for graphics etc. Compared to these 2 beasts it's very poor. Get IL2 buddy, its a hoot
VMFA-Blaze Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Falcon 4 AF really does have some very detailed avionics... that's really what stands out with that sim.. I was really surprised on just how accurate the avionics were modeled as compared to Lock On's.. I think that Ed is aware of this and I'm hoping that this will be fixed in the near future.. Lock On has no competition at all concerning their graphics and flight models... And of course the mission builder here really needs attention as well.. And again from what I hear this being worked on as well... ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
