Starting a mission in-flight over Caucasus or Normandy: when set to NAV, the radar screen stays black. Switching to ANF, it illuminates green, but no radar-sweep-bar-thingy moving and no radar returns show up. Setting the weapons selector to the appropriate setting then turns off the radar screen agan (this time as expected).

DCS settings are all set to max (textures, etc.) and it also makes no difference if I set "Cockpit displays" to 512 or 1024.

Nobody else noticed this, yet? :cry:

Does this only occurs with a "in-flight mission start"? I use 2.5.1 OB and had no problems with my radar today, doing always a ramp start therefore my question with the "in-flight-start".

Just tried that, but the problem persists.

Strange, just did a quick test, placed a Viggen with in-flight start in the ME on Caucasus and switched the radar on, workes fine.

Sounds like you're not turning on the radar by setting radar mode A1 or A2 if I remember correctly.

:huh::doh::music_whistling:

Of course you were right ..... I need to fly more (but it's difficult in general if every module you own has one or more flaws that spoil the fun in one way or the other)

But, yeah, after turning on the radar by flipping that switch to A1, the radar screen comes alive in all it's glory.

Sorry for causing this confusion/mess....
