Seems the big three, plus a few of the smaller ones (Making up 98% of the manufacturing),

Allegedly conspired w/ each other to purposely limit the volume of chips produced for the sole purpose of increasing the cost.

Evidence has come out and a class action lawsuit has been filed.

So, depending on outcome, we may see RAM and GFX Cards prices dropping like a rock in a few months.

To Put in Perspective, DDR3 is Currently marked up 450%,

The same Model# 16GB Kit I bought in 2011 and again in 2013 was $89.99,

today the Listed price is $399.99

One of the main reasons I have not ditched my FX CPU for a Ryzen is due to DDR4 Prices.

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9)

3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

It's always greed...:(

We have an Australian royal commission on banks going on at the moment.

Many CEO's stepping down, possible fraud charges and jail?

They were even charging dead people for financial advice

Inquiry reveals seamy banking practices in Australia — like charging dead people for financial advice.

Now that's just as low as you can get really.....

If I wanted to buy 32 GB of 3866Mhz memory right now they would charge me a full 100€ more than my current 4266Mhz kits from last year (the fastest kits available in about may 2017). Yeah...
