BlueAngel Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Hey Razbam. Thanks for the work on the Harrier. It's been a nice evolution since the first version. Unfortunately there's some elements missing that I just can't help but ask why are they missing. Where is the left side canopy mounted wet compass? Every single Harrier model have them, heck, every single modern aviation airplane has one. How do we navigate when the systems go down? Why can't I map the NWS/Anti-skid toggle switch on a keyboard or joystick? Also, can we get an updated manual that includes the TPOD and HSI operations? Again, great work with the Harrier. But, please, these items seem to be disregards on your behalf. "The natural function of the wing is to soar upwards and carry that which is heavy up to the place where dwells the race of gods. More than any other thing that pertains to the body it partakes of the nature of the divine." — Plato, Phaedrus.
SUNTSAG Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Hi BlueAngel, To answer your questions in order: Wet compass is available when your cockpit is closed (refer to image). You can map joystick controls to NWS but not the anti skid switch yet (refer to image below). Updates to the manual are WIP at the moment as far as I know and will be issued in due course as more functionality is added to the airframe. Refer to this thread which highlights elements missing. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=196533 The list will reduce as the aircraft transitions through Early Access. I hope this helps. BlueAngel Posted May 17, 2018 Author Posted May 17, 2018 Why... damn, you're right. But, no wonder I missed it, it's so freaking small and unreadable! Look at the picture of the real USMC Harrier cockpit. It looks quite different. Regarding the NWS/Anti-skid toggle, that's not the one I was referring to. And that's a button, by the way. Thanks for the update on manual. It is unfortunate that I need to learn things by trial and error. baltic_dragon Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Thanks for the update on manual. It is unfortunate that I need to learn things by trial and error. Sometimes it is the best way to learn things ;) I am sire the updates will be coming as more and more systems are functional / available. I am working on the training missions (at least 20) that will cover all the important aspects of flying in great detail. However, these also are dependent on the progress, I can’t build a mission if some things are not modelled yet. Bear in mind it is Early Access and as sich it is completely normal for things to be incomplete. Cheers! For more information, please visit my website.
