sp0nge Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 They're not entirely random but they are completely out of place. It shows some of the HUD symbology overlapping with the radar of the aircraft that you're in. http://img151.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshot073px3.jpg It acts as a cloud and doesn't follow the screen when you pan or turn. Has this happened before to anyone if it has, did they resolve the issue? How can I fix this :helpsmilie: Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hitman Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Not a driver issue thats for sure...You overclock your gpu by any chance? If you have tried...might be a good idea to look into underclocking it and see if it goes away.
sp0nge Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 I have never played with my gpu since i installed it. Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hitman Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Guess this would be a dumb question here...is your case fan breathing good enough? That looks more like a heating issue to me...
p_o_d_2_2 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 I agree with Hitman. I had a similar problem when my old graphics card was over heating.
sp0nge Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 Ill stick a mini-fan behind my computer and see what happens. It does make a weird sort of hissing noise some times... maybe take it out n give it a good clean! Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hitman Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 If you do clean it, use rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and clean the pins too. Do what I would do too and lube the fan on the video card with some clipper oil...I cant stress doing it lightly, lol.
sp0nge Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 Minifan was no good... Let's try the clean! Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sp0nge Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 Looks to me like my GFX card doesn't have a fan! atleast none insight... its radeon 9550. Im going 2 bed, ill check this thread in the morning.. Night! :pilotfly: Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hitman Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Off to radio shack with you!! They sell em cheap there, but you may have to do a small amount of modding on your own for em...thinkin along the lines of rubber bands and scotch tape, lol...not really but take a look there.
emenance Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 oh i thought we were going to talk about what pinups to put on billboards in the sky to help with those long runs in and out of the hot zone. Aeroscout Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 well, if you dont have a fan, i would reccomend just removing the car, and cleaning the pins. othere than that, i have no idea. a new fan will help though. VMFA-Blaze Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 I did have this issue.... Or something similar to this but not as pronounced... It was when I first installed my Gforce 6800 Ultra a few years back ... Well I did finally fix this issue with new drivers.. So before you go yanking out the GPU you might want to try uninstalling you're drivers and use a driver cleaner and reinstall the latest drivers .. you can get it here http://guru3d.com/ ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
sp0nge Posted March 31, 2007 Author Posted March 31, 2007 Whew .. how about i try just taking one side of the shell off the computer and leaving the minifan there? a direct flow of air. Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hitman Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 It works just be careful no elements get inside, ie WATER...and clean it out on occasion. Most people would say this was a bad idea but I did it with my last computer while I was living in Texas and didnt have a/c...had it like that for a good 4-5 months and no overheating problems for me. Just make sure its a good fan that blows a substantial amount of air. I had one of them rotating fans that do well for rooms aimed in my case, but also had a small 9" fan blowing in the case when that fan went to crap.
