Seating Position in Oculus Rift

I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue but it seems like when in VR i'm sitting too low and too far back. It looks like I'm actually the seat and not actually sitting in the seat. I've tried "resetting" my position by pressing 5 on the numpad but to no avail. Any tips?

Try right shift + right Ctrl + num pad keys to adjust you position.

I think the / and * zooms in/out.

All i do is go to the cockpit views drop down in the controls menu and set one of your hat switchs alomg with a modifier like alt or shift and then add the directions you want to move to the hat.

Yep, same. The position isn't quite right in the F/A-18C but it takes less than 30 seconds to adjust using this method.

At the left hip there is a seat switch to raise/lower.

Bind a button to VR-Recenter View in the UI layer of controls.

I press the button I have assigned each time I get into cockpit for first time of the session.

I had the same thing happen on my first load, but the sim has "remembered" my proper position since the initial adjustment. I've only had time for a few flights, however.
