Jack McCoy Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 As the title says: It's impossible to refuel/rearm on a carrier (170-degree degree tight turn). The crew chief yells: "Hey! What are you doing?" even though my parking brake is set. i7-7700K@4.8GHz, 16Gb-3200, GTX-1080Ti-Strix-11Gb, Maximus IX Hero, Oculus Rift, Thrustmaster Warthog+F/A-18C, Logitech G940 Pedals.
Papa Spardy Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I have done both. The ordnance doesn't update in the SMS but i have got fuel and bombs while on the carrier. I was parked on EL2 in front of the island.
Antimon Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Worked fine yesterday with wheel chocks places and engines running, canopy open. Landed, taxied to parking, rearmed and refueled and taxied back to cat and took off. SMS won't update/reset on rearm though but that's another story. Jack McCoy Posted June 1, 2018 Author Posted June 1, 2018 Maybe I didn't explain properly: I was immobile on the carrier but the carrier itself was turning swiftly, as tight as possible, i.e. changing heading quickly. In a straight line or in a sharp turn? i7-7700K@4.8GHz, 16Gb-3200, GTX-1080Ti-Strix-11Gb, Maximus IX Hero, Oculus Rift, Thrustmaster Warthog+F/A-18C, Logitech G940 Pedals.
StandingCow Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Yea, it's due to sliding around on the carrier. It seems any change in weight really freaks it out. 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo
Papa Spardy Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Ya carrier was going in a straight line. This is why we chain the jets to the flight deck. so they dont go moving all over the place.
Antimon Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 Yes, moving on steady course. Does it move during a turn if you put chocks on?
