  1. This sounds logical but it couldn't be further from the truth. Flir pods get moved all the time on a daily basis.
  2. The hornet isn't certified to carry mk80 series bombs on the bru41. I'm sure they are capable of carrying it, we are just not allowed to load it. And yes it is true that each squardons bring around 6 bru41s when they go on deployment that are only used for practice bombs (mk76, lgtr) and maybe a marine flare. you will never see this config on a hornet being used in realword
  3. It was added sometime around 2008 in lemoore. Pilot had an emergency and it never popped out. So now we check it during launch
  4. I checked the a-d hornet loading checklist at work and this is correct. Legacy hornets don't use the adu773 to fit single 127's on a pylon. It must be through the 115 with lau127s attached to the sides. Just like the sidewinders. This is of course the US NAVYS version(which is what we have in dcs)
  5. I wish for a missile that was of high speed, and it would look out for radiation and it would anti said radiation. Maybe something with 3 different modes like a self protect mode or a target of opportunity mode, even a pre-brief mode for that extra range. It will be so sophisticated that a physical computer will need to be put inside the right side of aircraft to help process what it sees, a computer for command and launch perhaps.... I think that this has the making a of a great missile I just don't know what to call it. Maybe one day we will find out.
  6. They will be loaded just like the sidewinders are loaded under the wing, or sparrows in station 4&6. They need a launcher to launch.
  7. This is the image the help me understand semi active homing the best
  8. The tools are there, use them. set trim after dropping ordnance. atc set at 350. Problem solved
  9. Well of course it's gonna be impractical if your using 4way button instead of axis.
  10. The hornet is supper easy to start. 4 clicks and you have both engines online
  11. I logged on and tried auto start after seeing this and I got the same thing. I'm guessing it's just broken right now
  12. As Frederf pointed out I was unable to find one picture of a single pod loaded on a bru-32 they are all loaded on 33/55's
  13. You sure about that ejection speed. I'm pretty sure it's been safe to eject over Mach since the 60's/70's
  14. I see this sort of problem pop up on the forums from time to time, where people don't seem to be able to take their hands off the stick to press buttons in cockpit without the hornet going off course or altitude. The reason I bring this up is I find the the hornet just flys where you point it. I literally fly with f10 because I'm trying to learn the Caucasus map in mutiplayer right now and when I finally find the city and go back to F1 I'm still on said course.
  15. I would fly the crap out of the A-1 Skyraider
  16. While i am a Navy guy through and through and much rather see the F-8 or the A-6. I wouldn't mind getting to sit inside of the Thunder Chief. That thing was a Giant.
  17. A single rocket pod would be attached to the bru-32. You can't attach any ordnance like that directly to the pylon. I agree though. No reason a single rocket pod would be loaded on a bru-33
  18. I have this problem with the x-56. buy its gear and flaps. which are both toggled by the same switch(up/down)`
  19. Super Hornets can carry a SHARP pod on the center line. Its a stupid big camera.
  20. This happened to me once.(since it has been patched) the problem was the i started moving the aircraft before I got the verbal cue that the ordnance was loaded. You could see all the bombs on the racks but i moved before the all clear. maybe this is whats happening to you
  21. This has been brought up a bunch of times already.
  22. 2 birds 1 stone? I was told this by a Boeing engineer that was working on our jets. Maybe he was lieing to me.
  23. I can confirm in the actual jet it is hard to make out the words with the map on.
