DonH Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Where do I get DCS World 2.5.2? I want to fly the F-18 but I have version 2.5.0 Thanks, Don
QuiGon Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 You either have to wait for an update for the Stable Release branch or you switch to the Open Beta which is already running on 2.5.2. - There are multiple ways to get the OB: You can remove your normal DCS installation, download the Open Beta from the Website and install it instead. You can download the Open Beta from the website and install it in addition to your normal DCS installation, so you will have both. You can convert your normal DCS installation to become the Open Beta by running the DCS updater through the windows command line using the following command: "DCS_updater.exe update @openbeta". More info on how to do that can be found here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Goa Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 best way is to switch from stable 2.5 to open beta by using cmd in windows 10 powershell. take a read here. I would seriously not recommend running 2 version of the game, as well as I dont reccomend uniistanlling stable and downloading from scratch the beta, is NON sense and waste of time and bandwith. This is the procedure to swith from stable to beta, and viceversa https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Alternatively you can you use a tool made by Skatezilla for this purpose. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 CPU : Intel i7 8700k@5.0ghz cooled by Noctua NH-D15 / Motherboard:Asorck Z370 Taichi / RAM: 32GB GSkill TridentZ @3600mhz / SSD: 500GB Nvme Samsung 970 evo+1 TB Sabrent Nvme M2 / GPU:Asus Strix OC 2080TI / Monitor: LG 34KG950F Ultrawide / Trackir 5 proclip/ VIRPIL CM2 BASE + CM2 GRIP + F148 GRIP + 200M EXTENSION /VKB T-Rudder MKIV rudder /Case: Fractal Design R6 Define black
QuiGon Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Don't use powershell. Use the Windows Command Line Interface (cmd) as recommended by the guide, because powershell requires slightly different commands to work.
