dburne Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Hey gang, So I now have gotten carrier take offs and landings. Landings took me a bit but I think I am finally there. Just did 6 successful landings in row, so feeling pretty good. Once I finally realized to keep my darn hand off the pitch control and use the throttle for keeping the E-Bracket lined up with the deck of the carrier, they got much better. At least I now feel competent with it. Now I want to truly learn this bird to be able to fly in SP some combat sorties off the carrier. I have read some of the quick start manual, probably need to read more. I took a look at some of the training missions, went ahead and did the flying around one that of course was no trouble. The next one though where you have to utilize switches etc for navigating seemed a little tough at first. Probably what added to that toughness was trying to follow it in VR, hard to see exactly where those yellow highlighted brackets are pointing to in VR - might have to consider doing that portion of it on the desktop. Is best thing for me to just stick with each training mission in the order they are presented keeping at each one until something clicks and it comes together for me? I have not bound all my controls to my setup yet I figured I would add them as I go along learning to get them placed best for me. Sure would appreciate any tips on this.
