ejoiner
Hi. I would like to use the Z axis rudder to control Nose wheel steering in the F-86 if possible. I have a Saitek X-55 HOTAS set up and would like to use the twist stick to control NWS in combination with a button to activate NWS. When the NWS not pressed, I would like the twist stick to control the rudder. (Z-axis). Is this possible? I find using the Z and X buttons on the keyboard to be clumsy. Alternatively, is there a cheat to make nose wheel steering easy? Thanks Eric
Art-J
Not sure I get what you mean, because... what you described is exactly how the mechanism already works out of the box, so apart from engage/disengage button and rudder axis, you don't need to set up anything more. "Simple steering" in special options tab controls whether the wheel always reacts to rudder inputs, or only when it's in correct position relative to the rudder. philstyle
Alternatively, is there a cheat to make nose wheel steering easy? Thanks Eric You have to depress (and hold) a certain key (bound to "s" for me) to enable nose-wheel steering whilst taxying in the F86. The reason you're finding taxying clumsy is probably because you don't have the NSW key bound, or you're not pressing it. Buzzles
Is this possible? Yes. I've bound the NWS button to the small pinky button on my X55 by the fake lever. Rudder left/right is the twist axis (z?). Press and hold the button and the rudder will control the steering. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
