rogue_blade Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 ok after playing falconAF i realize how measly the sound effects are for the gun/cannon in the f15. im sure its the same for the su's. so i want to take the falcon sound files for the cannon and replace the lockon cannon sound file. i noticed that alot of lockons sound files are ".ogg" so do i just rename the falcon sound file to .ogg? The cannon sound should be found in this folder C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Sounds\Effects Probably the one called GAU8Cannon, not too sure on that. But it comes in 3 files, begin, cannon, and end, so make sure you can find relatively the same thing from f4:AF [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

rogue_blade Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 ughh ok it doesnt work guys. the cannon files were like gau8 gau8start and gau8end and falcon cannon files were like vulstart, vuloop and vulend. those arnt the exact file names but each game had a start, loop file, and end file for the cannons. so i tunred the falcon ones into ogg files and renamed them exaclty the same and pasted them into lockon sound folder and now i have nooooooooooo cannon sound. anyone have falcon4 and want to try this? The whole thing, when its fired, is supposed to make every system, including the pilot, say WTF WAS THAT? :joystick: Fully agree... I use a buttkicker and was hoping to be lifted from the seat...but instead...nothing. The RU cannons and even the F15 feels OK, but the KING of them all feels like a peashooter. :cry: If anyone could put some umpf in that sound, I would really appreciate it. I have tested using the vulcan sound files, and it's an improvement, but still not right.

I just did a copy on the three files and renamed it to the same as the GAU-8. renemed the original before of course.

The 'vulcan' sound files are for the F15 and the 'gau8' files are for the A-10. I edited the F15 gunsounds to give it more 'umpf' as what CoNa says :). Make a backup of your original 'vulcan' sounds files and just drop the sound files that I attached in your Sounds\Effects folder. Hope this is what you are looking for.F15vulcan.rar
