First go at the F/A-18C in sim mode and the mouse cant select hardly anything in the cockpit.

It's like the mapping for everything in the cockpit has gone south.

I managed to be able to press one LH side button on the HSI but the mouse was hovering over the LH vertical console to do it.

I had created a custom mission using Nevada test range map, I have a HOTAS warthog setup that is partially mapped for the hornet which is working ok.

I have trackIR with the pro clip and that works well too.

tried turning off trackIR and reload the game and it doesn't make any difference.

single player mode.

You need to provide a track file.

Second I would run the repair utility and see if that resolves the issue. I'd also make sure you are in Sim mode and not game mode.

hi

please attach your dcs.log ( i have a guide below ) we should see some clues.

you can also try resetting your inputs

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\FA-18C_hornet

rename the FA-18C_hornet folder and then restart and map your controls again.

Thank you both for the guidance, when I get home from work I’ll post the log and find the repair utility and run it. Then try the other things here.

You show DCS there in windowed mode, is that how you normally run it?

You could try full-screened, and/or playing around with those such related settings, as this could be a window focus issue, i.e. Alt+Enter etc

Also IIRC if the radio context menu is open this can cause an inability to mouse-interact with the cockpit.

I do run it in fullscreen at max res. I only windowed it to take a screen shot to ask the sim vs game mode question.

Ok problem solved!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

I've been playing it in full screen but I forgot to up the resolution when I switched from DCS world 1.5 to the new open beta. I changed the main video settings to high and its working now.
