Flamin_Squirrel Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 As per title, if you trim left, you yaw right, and vice versa.
Flamin_Squirrel Posted June 21, 2018 Author Posted June 21, 2018 Could I confirm this has been acknowledged? Or debunked, on the off chance I've gone mad!
Alphamale Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) As per title, if you trim left, you yaw right, and vice versa. And your rudders work normally? What I mean is, when right rudder pedal is fully depressed, you yaw left? I'm trying to distinguish here between making rudder trim via FCS page and using the rudder pedals Edited June 21, 2018 by Alphamale
Alphamale Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Have you tried using the mini axes grid ( RCTL + ENT) to see if your rudder input is inverted?
Brun Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I checked it out after seeing it mentioned previously. Agree that it seems reversed. Asus Z690 Hero | 12900K | 64GB G.Skill 6000 | 4090FE | Reverb G2 | VPC MongoosT-50CM2 + TM Grips | Winwing Orion2 Throttle | MFG Crosswind Pedals

Alphamale Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Rudders work normally. This is a totally separate issue with the FCS biasing in the wrong direction. You're not referring to using the coolie hat on the stick, cause that's just for pitch and roll...just making sure we cover all types of control surface manipulation. So you are adjusting the rudder trim via the FCS page on the DDI (or have shortcut buttons to assign this)?

So you are adjusting the rudder trim via the FCS page on the DDI (or have shortcut buttons to assign this)? There's a rudder trim knob on the left console. noisy_lightning Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 If you assigned it to an axis double click the assignment in the settings menu to bring up the popup box, if the "invert" button is ticked untick it, and if its unticked then tick it. Should solve the problem.
Brun Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 No axis here. Using the knob on the console, if I rotate it right the nose goes left. And vice versa. Asus Z690 Hero | 12900K | 64GB G.Skill 6000 | 4090FE | Reverb G2 | VPC MongoosT-50CM2 + TM Grips | Winwing Orion2 Throttle | MFG Crosswind Pedals
Flamin_Squirrel Posted June 22, 2018 Author Posted June 22, 2018 Thanks Brun. Guys, I keep saying, this is a TRIM issue. It has NOTHING to do with my controller setup. I could have my rudder setup normally, reversed, or even unplug them entirely. It makes no difference to the reversed trim.
Alphamale Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Yep, I see it now...yeah I don't know if that's a bug or what...you'd think that rotation of the knob to the left, would yaw left, but it yaws to the right...yep, could be another WIP (not allowed to say bug...shhhh)
