imacken Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Really annoying that my head moves the cursor as well as the mouse. This is mainly because it is easier to activate switches using the mouse in peripheral vision, and at present, the mouse cursor can't move much outside of what my head position is showing. Can this be disabled? Hippo Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 (edited) +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 ... I'm as certain as I can be that it's currently not possible. I've been banging on about this myself repeatedly (hopefully someone somewhere is listening). You probably already know this (I only found out recently), but you can left click and hold ROTARIES then drag the mouse or use the mouse wheel. It really is only a (very) few switches for which this remains an issue. Still, come ED - sort it out. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=213586 Edited June 24, 2018 by Hippo Why extra carriage returs?! Norcat Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Love that idea!!!! I suffer the same as I look at a switch and mouse over it only to have my head tracking shift my mouse off my switch. Would be best if tracking captured the mouse at the frames edge and only then move it along, that would be fine.
imacken Posted June 24, 2018 Author Posted June 24, 2018 It’s a lot worse in VR as you have to turn your head all the way to a switch which is unrealistic as normally you would use your peripheral vision and click with the mouse (or hand in real life). I don’t remember if it’s the same in TrackIR, but using that, you get unrealistically large movements in cockpit compared to actual head movement so it is a bit more manageable. Wolf8312 Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 It can be somewhat offset by centering view so you are sitting further back in the AC. Then you can get everthing set up, and then reset it to normal before take off. This works great as long as you are flying simpler WW2 modules, or not doing much in the way of complex start up proceedures (can imagine on the A10C its impossible and maddening) where generally you only need to use what is directly in front of you. Needs to be fixed I agree because at present its rather illogical. We need to be able to use the mouse as well, because actually binding a mouse button to the HOTAS is for me the best way to fly in VR, better than voice attack, or using a mouse, its really very easy and convienient, the best and most efficent way I have found to press buttons such as landing gears or flaps. Only problem is how the hell can one press buttons that are behind you or nearly behind you? The best solution IMO would be to still allow the mouse to be used when needed. ------------ 3080Ti, i5- 13600k 32GB VIVE index, VKB peddals, HOTAS VPC MONGOOSE, WARTHOG throttle, BKicker,

I have a mouse on my Thrustmaster with a center button. How do I use it like I do my PC mouse to command the buttons in the cockpit. I'm not sure as to how it's mapped.
