On cold start at Nellis, FPS drops to 1 or DCS freezes.

After completing startup, manual or cheat(auto start), sitting on tarmac, DCS: AV8B drops to 1fps, or freezes.

I am very new to Harrier module. Apologies of this was already posted.

Happens in both beta and stable v2.5.2.18736

Does not happen in any other module I have.

OK. If you are able, please run an Instant Action/Nevada-Cold and Dark with above setting.

Thank you. 2560X1440

Unable as I am using a 1080p screen currently

Please post your dcs.log dcs settings and dxdiag and we will get another tester to check.

thanks

Dave, are you contacting the ATC? I tried the mission (instant action, cold and dark on nevada) and if i fly around without atc, there is no problem. But if i contact atc, at the first try at touchdown i got the same -some sort of freeze,1 fps, unresponsive sim. At second try, there was no issue at touchdown, taxied back in the starting spot, fuelshutoff, after a few second i got the freeze. No issues in the air, only on the gorund. Maybe its something with the atc?

Yep, I ask for landing. I'll have to check on that. I can do without ATC. I am self paced training, so sometimes I do manual start up, sometimes auto-start. For some reason, if I do manual BTB start up, I don't get nav system and EHADS is dark. I can take off and land in STOL, but pure vertical, I am a bit wonky. Hovering, or trying to, my AV-8 has all the grace of fat balerina on tiptoes, or circus elephant on a ball from Dumbo. A drunk blowing .2 at DUI probably has more stability then me hovering. I must have at least 20 kias fwd flight for decent landing. CCIP with mk bombs is easy. Guns AG is simple. I think the gun sound is weak. It should sound like GAU-12 or GAU-22 (F-35 version). Or they could just take A-10C GAU-8 sound. Airframe should also shake a little. Right now it sounds like .22LR fire underwater. For now I am just using ARBS at day time. Later on, TPOD. I like the straightforward simplicity or ARBS manual. Without any designation, the targets whatever ground point that flightvector is over. Then it can slew and autostabilizes. The aircraft can twist and turn, and ARBS keeps the aimpoint. This is nice. Remembers its position for reattack. Not as sophisticated as TPOD, but its fast, and simple, for daytime. Hard to beleive that ARBS is more or less same as it was on Marine A-4M Skyhawks in 1970's and early 80's. I recall in documentaries of old school Discovery Wings, about Marine Skyhawks over Grenada, over Lebannon after Marine Barracks bombing in 1983. By the time Panama Just Cause in '89, all the A-4M had been boneyarded. Leaving F/A-18C, and AV-8B without N/A or Plus (Radar) upgrades. I was in Artillery School at Ft.SIll in 1993,and our JTAC visiting instructors, talked to AirNG F-16C Block 15/30, A-10A, and F/A-18A (Naval Res. and USMC Res.). The Marine A/C all had ARBS,A-10A had PavePenny for ground based lasing spot, or abn. buddy lase. Not certain what F-16s had, but they could see our spot. Artillery FISTs don't play JTAC. We spot targets, punch in 8 digit coords, and send it to FDC, which then distributes missions to batteries and to JTACS or abn. FAC. Fun time, but stressful. Especially on live fire evaluations. My time was in the 1990's, before all the current nastiness.
