Graphic issue, Aircraft Outline, No shader

Hello!

 

I have a graphic issue.

 

Here are my system spec:

 

ASUS P5N32 SLI Motherboard

Intel Core2Duo 6600 @ 2,4 ghz

2x1024 Corsair Dominator Memorys

NVIDIA Gefore 8800 GTX 768mb

 

 

You can see i have a white line all around my aircraft and i have no shaders on it. So i think the whole thing is a shader issue. I have the laterst NVIDIA drivers. I have tried lots of different settings.

You positive you have your native resolution running and that any AA or AF is on?

 

Also, turn "adjust image setting with preview" to "Quality" and save... this is in the Nvidia control panel... do those things and I assure you that will go away

 

The last recommendation sound like the culprit to me

That's a bug that we're all dealing with... I had to lower the shadder settings from high to all planner, to eliminated it...

 

I've got a 8800 GTS 620 MB card since January and I've never used high shader settings so all planer is normal for me...

 

Although the 'nhancer down load looks interesting.. I might just check it out..

Actually I had this problem and I got it fixed by changing the aspect ratio in the graphics config to 1.6.

Strange.. I mixtured with the settings and i got rid of it. Im not sure that the "quality" setting in Nvidia control panel works. It might have been the Anistropic filtering since ive turned it "off" for Lock On and it works. Not 100% it was this problem though. Im almost sure it wasnt a setting ingame.

 

But hey.. Another issue have come up. Texture problems...

 

Its the lake northeast of Krymsk. Im flying the Mig29 coop mission and the lake is close to the northeast. Im gonna check some other lakes.. Ive been having land texture problems aswell. But when i went up for some screenshots i coulnd find any problems. The textured look all messed up with all the rainbows colours.

 

Went up again.. The lake looked ok but now i got these photos.

Wow this is a screwed up texture handling. I was planning getting a similar card. let me know how this works for you. By the time I make my buy I should have ATI's new Dx10 linup to choose from as well.

Haha... Lomac features global warming.. Truly a simulator.

Pilotasso. All other games run good with this card. Armed Assault for example. But hey.. I have done alot of testing and havent rebooted. Ill report back when I got some more time in the air. Maybe im running too high settings.. Im running at 20-50 fps which is kinda low i think. The computer is working hard. I like the middle picture though.. It looks like a cockpit.. Ill be back...

well, heres a snag... 99% of my gaming time is on LOMAC so you can see my gripe. :D

 

I have supreme commander though, but havent even opened the box yet. I dont want the mental rape trying it in a major battle with the current PC I have. I want to see it first hand on the Quad. ;)

This is quite odd... I have played Lomac on a 6800nu, 7800gt, and now an 8800gts and I have never experienced these problems... on top of that I consider myself a driver junky and change them constantly. I think I would have experienced them by now...

 

Some questions... are you reinstalling a clean set? ... Use Driver Cleaner Pro (i think it's still free somewhere... be sure to read the directions) and report back

I'm thinking that the fault just might be with the card.. I ran a 6800,7800,7900 series and presently its 8800gts 630 MB, and I've never seen this before.. Why don't you RMA it and try a new one, I'll bet you, once you try a new GPU.. These issues will disappear..

Ok... The first problem was the shadow setting ingame when i set it to the highest setting.

 

I havent got any more texture issues since i reinstalled. I dont know if it was the reinstall that fixed it because i ran the previous install a couple of times without texture problems. But im not 100% sure its fixed just yet.

Sure sounds like you have a handle on it guy.. Did you run a driver cleaner before this last installation??

No i didnt do a clean driver install. But my PSU literally exploaded when making a personal profile for my X52 yesterday. Ive stolen my girlfriends PSU now :music_whistling:

Ok im not sure what you are asking but i guess you are asking how i blew my PSU away.

 

Ive just sent my PSU on RMA because of a fan problem. So i found this old 300w PSU with just one fan at the back. The thing got so hot that something in it exploded. There was some scrapnel on the floor. Small pieces of glass and a piece of metal.

 

Tip of the day: Dont use old PSU with a new system.

I think its sad that you cant have the scenary option to high, or even medium. It really eats performance. But i love setting the water to Very High and take off. Its beautiful.

 

But hey.. I have notices one thing. When im entering a mission, Singleplayer or multiplayer, the mission will choose my graphic setting. Setting the scenery setting to medium or high and i get bad performance. It really annoys me.

What do you consider bad performance?

 

When you're not exploding 300w PSU's, you're running a e6600 an an 8800gtx...

 

You should have (ballpark) 50fps on the flight line... and thats WITH everything on high.
