viewing external views in tracks

HI. i just recorded a track and i cant watch the track in any other view other than what view it was recorded in. is this normal? I would like to view my tracks in an external view.

You need a utility called LOTU or whatever it's latest version is called. Available on my site- downloads section. (click sig)

Did you have externals disabled when you recorded the track ? Otherwise they should work fine during playback (I always waatch mine through the edit tab - don't know if that makes a difference )

All of the above are good options, the only other one you have (simplest one imho) is that when you record the track you make sure that externals are enabled in your options tab.

 

That does not work if you re recording a track while playing on a public server though, usually servers do not have external views enabled, for obvious reasons.

 

ps: Like Konkussion/Brit_Radar_Dude suggested, I would get LOME, which is a really nice tool to have anyway, for all the times you want to record a track when the server you are on does not have externals enabled.

There is one thing that I don't think anyone has mentioned. Assuming that External Views are enabled under the 'Difficulty' Options Menu, you will still only see the views you originally recorded if you use the SHOW button on the Main Menu. OTOH, if you open the track in the Editor (Main Menu OPEN), you can alter views at will (again assuming external views are enabled).

I was just about to suggest that too.

 

Listen to Ironhand and play the track through the Mission editor instead of the ingame player.
