Aren't there some planes on standby or whatever you want to call it so  that is exactly what can happen.
If a passenger plane is hijacked and the pilots have to get in the air, I guarantee you they are not going to wait for the INS. And this is not the only scenario where speed counts.

and this is how I would look at this feature when it is available.

Yes, IRL there are of course aircraft on quick reaction alert (QRA) duty, which have their alignments prestored when starting their QRA cycle. This is a dedicated role for a handful of aircraft though, while the vast majority of aircraft sorties launch without prestored alignments! That's why I would also argue, that in DCS the default setting for prestored INS should be off.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Exactly and that in times of peace. And how unrealistic is it that exactly that will be expanded in a war? because that's what we do in DCS.

In addition, DCS is also a game and certain things like I have to wait 3-8min in front of my PC until a timer has run down must not necessarily be.

Even real pilots in their simulators are spawned  in the air to practice certain scenarios, that just saves a lot of time.

Even if you take the option away from the AV8 it makes no difference, you can turn the IFA in and start directly.
even an A10C/II can be in the air after ~60-90sec with IFA and still drop a GBU38 as precisely as full ALIGN on the ground.

and gameplay technically it has as it is now on servers like Blueflag PG Modern also not a big disadvantage for others.🙂
