Could this be a possibility? As it stands right now in the mission editor is the only way to utilize moving trigger zones is by using a condition such as "Unit inside moving trigger zone". Would it not make sense to also have the ability to be able to have an option for "Coalition" example: "Coalition inside moving trigger zone"thereby making it easier for mission developers when creating triggers.

 

Just a though. Would save a lot of time and energy.

This would be nice. Maybe add it to the wishlist. Or trigger zones anchored to a unit but not centered on it (you'll recall our discussion about carrier landing dialogue triggers some time ago.)

 

I'd also like to see coalition aircraft -type- in zone. We can see aircraft are already subdivided into fighters/bombers/helicopters looking at some of the advanced waypoint actions. Being able to generally mention "fighters are in X" location as opposed to having to single out every potential group would add a lot of flexibility for scripted dialogue that works with randomization.

Hi guys

 

You can achieve this very easily with MIST function mist.flagFunc.units_in_moving_zones(table vars ). When you pass units table parameters just give it [blue] or [red] and you are set.

Thanks for this info Zayets. I'm still trying to wrap my head around scripting but I'll look into this for sure. Could you elaborate on this a little more so i know what I'm looking for.

I do remember the discussion and That exactly what it is for. The triggers are working great in the missions but as with having so many triggers added as you know its so easy to make one mistake and that one little mistake can have repercussions. I place this request into the wish list and hope that something happens.
