Com AM/FM

Hi gents,

 

Anyone to help please, I'm currently unable to select AM or FM on the UFC (Manual or preset frequency). the band AM/FM looks like bugged as it doesn't show up in the window while I'm attempting to manually select a frequency. Whereas it is showing on the UFC as I'm fingering the preset channels but the scripture AM/FM is Simply vanishing from the UFC if I mouseclick the associated pushbutton for reassignment !?!

Any comment or suggestion highly appreciated. I mention I do not use simplified communications.

Not a bug, here are the specs (if I'm not mistaken, feel free to correct me ofc :D) for the AN/ARC-210:

30.0-87.975 MHz FM

108.0-117.975 MHz AM (recieve only)

118.0-155.975 MHz AM

156.0-173.975 MHz FM

225.0-399.975 MHz AM/FM

 

So the reason FM/AM disappears is because you cannot change between AM/FM on 30.000 since it's a FM-only frequency, by design.

30-87.975 is the band used by vhf sincgars radios, mostly for short range, line of sight tactical comms between ground forces. it's fm only because in this specific scenario fm is less susceptible than am to interference.
