Captain Orso Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 This is actually SOP. Once the basket is captured by the probe all of the air resistance of the basket is being exerted onto the probe and thus onto your aircraft, so of course upon capture of the basket you must slightly increase thrust to compensate. Also, throughout refueling you will need to adjust power and trim to compensate for the additional weight of fuel. When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. gulredrel Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Thanks. After seeing my speed drop I recognized I had to add throttle ;) Is there a way to get the KC-130 TACAN working in single player at the moment? Or should I try S-3? Regards Jens
Lixma 06 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) Thanks. After seeing my speed drop I recognized I had to add throttle ;) Is there a way to get the KC-130 TACAN working in single player at the moment? Or should I try S-3? Regards Jens The 130 TACAN does work - however - the other night I set up a simple refueling mission and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to work. So I deleted the mission, built another one and it works fine. So either it's a bit glitchy or we're doing something wrong. Here it is if you want to muck about with it....AV-8B Refuelling test.miz Edited December 3, 2018 by Lixma 06
Captain Orso Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 It might be, that an update fixed the KC-130 TACAN situation, but part of it is in the ME, and the mission was before the fix, so not yet in the mission. gulredrel Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 In current stable 2.5.3 TACAN works. But when setting i.e. X51 in mission editor, you have to tune TCN to Y51 and get bearing information. Setting X51 on the UFC will not work.
