AvroLanc Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 It would be really useful to be able to set up Tacan channels for AI wingmen. Currently you can only define a Tacan channel for the group lead. Not very useful if you want to keep track of wingmen distance. However, even with the current implentation..... I don't think AA tacan works correctly in that we simply have to dial in the Tacan channel directly to get a signal. IRL you should have to tune a AA Tacan channel 63 channels different from your own in order to get correct signal. (Does this work correctly in MP?) Flight could be set up as say 10,11,12 and 13Y. You'd then have to tune 74Y to get DME from dash-2, 75Y for dash-3 etc.....
Emmy Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 It works in the A-10C in MP. We used it extensively while the SADL was Tango Uniform for a while. AvroLanc Posted September 1, 2018 Author Posted September 1, 2018 .Impact;3613237']We use the A2A tacan (63 apart) while flying twoship hornets all the time in multiplayer :) Cool that’s good to know. It’ll be great if ED could bring this function somehow to single player. I guess I need to start multi player.
