DCS Editor crashes only when copy and pasting

Yes I'm aware people are screaming about the editor but I haven't seen this particular piece highlighted.

 

Copy and pasting static units (I'm populating the deck of the Stennis) causes the game to crash without. When I use ctrl+V theres a 50% chance it crashes, tested about 6 times

What version? Where are your crash logs? We need info to diagnose. If you are using Open Beta, make sure you are up to date with latest hotfixes.
