MrReynolds Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 Evening all. After everything working fine, my HUD software now doesn't load. Could be a Windows 10 update issue. The icon's there but doesn't load. Profiles work. I can change profiles from the windows profile icon. The joystick works, but the HUD software doesn't load for me to edit any profiles. I have submitted a ticket with logitech - just wondering if anyone else has had an issue. Also, I don't seem to find anywehere to uninstall the HUD. Do I have to uninstall the x56 from the device manager?
crab Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 I'd backup your profiles and then uninstall/reinstall, you'll find it under X 56 HOTAS in the programs and features app.
MrReynolds Posted September 14, 2018 Author Posted September 14, 2018 (edited) I'd backup your profiles and then uninstall/reinstall, you'll find it under X 56 HOTAS in the programs and features app. Thanks for trying. The only logitech software bizarly in the uninstall section is my mouse and keyboard stuff. I've tried deleting the folder the x56 is in and no luck. Infuriating as everything else works fine. I don't want to uninstall the hardware as a really don't trust it ..... Funny enough - yeah, under x56. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still nothing. Thankfully the profile is working........... crab Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Apps &features does not have an entry labeled X56 H.O.T.A.S or it did and you deleted that and reinstalled the software?
MrReynolds Posted October 3, 2018 Author Posted October 3, 2018 @work so will be quick. The answer for anyone rambling around this in the future was that the .exe somehow got changed from H.U.D to HUD Simple. Renaming to H.U.D made it work. How it got changed in the first place Lord knows..............
