Have MT-50 Throttle: Need Configurator Software Firmware update help

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Damn, I think I need serious help setting up after possibly borking my MongoosT-50 (only have the throttle).

VPC Configuaration Tool setup help that is. So confused after reading the manual and this forum as the Configurator only shows "SYNC" at all times in the top left corner

Have TeamViewer13 installed (for a Remote Desktop Control possibility), and can be reached via profile email to initiate/organize some Virpil helpfulness (am GMT+2 timezone) to remotely setup my MongoostT-50 Throttle just received.

Will leave files/folders open for now on my Windows Desktop for easier TeamViewer navigation

(On a Win7 Pro 64-bit PC)

Any Virpil help will be appreciated. I know it's a Saturday/weekend :D

And so I was sorted out, and helped a few minutes ago (via FB Messenger and a mobile phone by Mr Virpil himself), on this holiest of Saturday late afternoons, with football, soccer, rugby, darts, snooker, Grand Prix etc and other whatnot sports on TV for Virpil support staff rather to watch, then to help this wretch frustrated soul with his weekend hardware dilemma.

Great stuff and many thanks Virpil!! Topnotch service, beyond the call of duty.

And to boot, my Virpil MongoosT-50 Throttle, arrived yesterday, has a single digit Serial Number, being #8, and it says so too on the front with a silver tag on the base.

One VERY hefty/weighty unit for sure, with beautiful bevelled/chamfered edges -- Cant remember the difference now....

No issues with the buttons/switches - and the gnarled 2-way throttle knobs fit my big hands very well, with all HAT/buttons/scroll wheel within easy finger reach.

Woot !

I bricked it like 45 times the first day or two due to my own incompetence and not understanding the software. It's easy to screw it up, but fortunately also easy to fix (or at least return to a vanilla state). Seems idiot proof ) It's not too bad once you get the hang of it.

Mind sharing what you did to it to brick it so that commoners like us don't brick it?

Thanks! Mine just arrived today and I'm at work T_T

Just doing things out of order, accidentally clearing the preset buttons, screwing buttons up. No one particular thing. If you do, you just load one of the included profiles and start over. Only takes a few seconds to fix.

I considered bricking = computer does not detect the throttle\stick :megalol:
