ThePutzer Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Since last update I have seen this message on server so many times it is ridiculous. It takes some, 2,3, tries to get in server now, and some never do. 1 friend tried for 3 hrs without success. I don.t believe any thing server side has changed, (1gig down 20MP up ip service). I will attach server logs a couple tracks and the mission file. Thank you for any suggestions. ThePutzer (Tail end Charlie) ***NewbCity::MSFlights***

SnowTiger Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I have a Brand New Install on a new SSD in a New Gaming Rig (Ryzen) and jumped into a MP Server today where there was no one else online. Today is the First Time Flying on the new rig. I flew (Mustang in Korean War Server) for about 10 minutes and then "poof" ... I was kicked back to the Server List and received the "Timed Out" Error Message. Even flying SP I exited a mission only to find the same Error Message again. What is going on ? Judy1301 Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 I have the same problem when I create a new server for my friends and myself, that's four of us. I have a very stable and fast connection (fibre). And I also have the timed out error after about 15 minutes when join one of my friend's server. I haven't changed anything in my configuration. I've uninstalled the whole simulation, reinstalled it. I use it with no mod, pure vanilla. Beats me Thanks for your help Judy
SnowTiger Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 I continue to have this problem. I have been flying in several servers where I often have this same issue with the "Connection Timed Out" Error CTD. I just flew in 104th Phoenix server and this happened 4 times in 1.5 hours. Never saw any action. Too busy reloading, rearming, flying and getting the F'ing Connection Timed Out error. I have tried disabling my Antivirus ... it has NOTHING to do with that for sure. Brand New Computer Build and with Win10. All updates to Windows and DCS. Everything works beautifully ... except of course DCS. Somebody Please Help. PS> If you can't help or don't have the same problem, please don't post. Thx. Mustang Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 You could try using a autoexec.cfg with customized network parameters like many other users have done, drop this into your Users\<name>\DCS\Config folder https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_cAXzm3-0VvDVDwfvbfcFHeqpqMexWiw or alternatively if you already have an existing autoxec.cfg you can add the following if not net then net = {} end net.download_speed = 12800*1024 net.upload_speed = 1024*1024
SnowTiger Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Thanks I'll give that a shot. So is this a Internet Connection thing of sorts ? i.e. my service provider issue or something ? Why is this happening ? Thanks again. I'll let you know how it works. SnowTiger Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Nope, no joy. While I was able to fly in 104th server for a bit this morning (bored out of my mind in a Gazelle because battle area is so far away for a chopper) I didn't have any issues there. But then I only flew in Warbirds of Prey (Mustang) for about 15 minutes and splat .... Connection Timed Out .... again. I'll go back to 104th server later today and see if it continues to be trouble free or whether the issue continues to exist, even with the autoexec.cfg file. The 104th Dedicated also uses a custom autoexec.cfg serverside to allow optimal bandwidth usage, many servers do not and have problems as you describe.
