I understand the flight model is still WIP but it just seems off with gear down and flaps full. On approach to boat/runway hit around 250 drop flaps (no issues here) wait a few seconds and drop gear and at that moment without inputting trim for on speed yet and no stick input the plane goes nose up 30 degrees and you gain about 1000 feet of altitude in 5 seconds. I then wait it out til the bird relaxes and go on with my landing. But that jump in pitch and altitude just because of gear cant be correct can it? Doesn't feel right or is it just me?

I believe it is due to the flight control system changing logic from trimming for 1G to trimming for AoA. At 250kts, your AoA for level flight will be very low, so the FCS pitches up to chase the trimmed AoA. This is why gear and flaps are usually lowered in the break, so the speed continues to bleed quickly to the trimmed AoA. Otherwise, just hold your attitude as speed drops and the AoA naturally comes in, and it’ll hold it nicely.

Are you sure that the flaps are actually extending? You can't actually drop the flaps at 250kts. You can select them but they extend only once below 245kts.

Sounds more like when that you are extending the gear that the speed drops below 245kts and the flaps extend.

Just to make sure. That's just for testing. The advantage of getting the gear out before the flaps start moving is, that the speed drops much faster with the gear down and hence the pitch up during flap extension is less violent.
